Contracts
Service agreements with templates, {{variables}}, e-sign, amend/void, PDF, and verify—not memberships or recurring billing.
Overview
Contracts in Bounty CRM are service agreements—documents that capture terms for work you perform, often alongside an estimate or job. They support templates with {{variables}}, customer e-sign, PDF output, amend/void lifecycle actions, and a verify experience so signed agreements can be confirmed later.
Important naming truth: Contracts are not memberships, not a subscription billing engine for your end customers, and not recurring invoice automation. If you need membership-style recurring billing for customers, that is a different roadmap item—not what this module does today.
Sign and verify links ship with Contracts workflows. They are not a separate Customer Portal product (that product is not available yet).
What it allows you to do
- Build reusable contract templates with {{variable}} placeholders for customer and job fields.
- Issue contracts for specific customers and engagements.
- Collect e-signatures through the sign link (email or in-person handoff).
- Bundle signing with estimate accept when an unsigned contract is linked.
- Amend or void contracts when terms change or a document should not stand.
- Download PDFs of agreements for records and customer copies.
- Verify signed contracts through the verify public flow.
How it impacts your workflow
Many contractors still run agreements as Word docs in email. That creates version chaos and weak proof of signature. Bounty CRM Contracts keep the agreement next to the CRM records it protects—customer, estimate, job—in a single 1:1 chain with one contract slot. See /docs/guides/document-linking.
Templates with variables make your standard terms repeatable: swap customer name, address, and scope fields without rewriting legalese each time. E-sign removes the printer-scanner loop. Bundling with estimate accept is especially powerful on higher-ticket jobs—customers complete commercial intent and legal intent together.
Amend and void give you controlled lifecycle tools. When scope changes, amend rather than quietly editing a signed PDF offline. When a contract was issued in error, void with a clear status instead of leaving a misleading “signed” artifact in the file.
Key screens & actions
Web: Open Contracts from the main menu for contract records and templates. Mobile: contract-related billing and sign flows for field contexts. Public: sign and verify experiences customers open from their links.
Templates & variables
- Create templates for common agreement types (install terms, service terms, warranty acknowledgements—per your counsel).
- Insert {{variables}} for fields that change per customer or job.
- Preview how a template renders before sending to a real customer.
- Keep template ownership with a small set of admins so legal language stays controlled.
Issue, sign, PDF, verify
- Create a contract from a template (or tailored content) linked to the right contact/engagement.
- Send for signature via email link or start an in-person handoff.
- Customer signs on the sign page; download PDF for records.
- If bundled with an estimate, complete accept-and-sign in one session.
- Amend if terms must change after issue; void if the contract should not remain active.
- Use verify links when you or the customer need to confirm a signed agreement later.

Permissions & plan notes
Your plan includes Contracts on Professional ($129) and Business ($249). On Starter ($49), add Contracts for $49/mo. Role permissions should limit who can edit templates and void signed agreements—those are high-impact actions.
- Display name: Contracts. Avoid calling them memberships.
- Not a customer membership or recurring billing product.
- Estimate bundling requires both Estimates (included on all plans) and Contracts on your plan.
- File storage on Professional and Business helps retain related attachments.
Tips & common questions
- Have counsel review template language—Bounty CRM provides the workflow, not legal advice.
- Limit template editors; many users only need to issue and send.
- Prefer amend over shadow Word docs when terms change after signature.
- Use verify links when a homeowner asks “can you resend what I signed?” months later.
- Bundle with estimates on big tickets; skip bundling on tiny service quotes if it slows closes.
- E-sign failed mid-flow? Retry on a modern mobile browser, confirm the link, then email customerservice@praevisio.co with the contract details.
If you came looking for memberships or automatic recurring invoices, say so at customerservice@praevisio.co—that feedback informs roadmap priority, but it is not what Contracts ships today.
