Public links & handoff
Choose between email public links and in-person handoff for estimates, invoices, and contracts in Bounty CRM.
Bounty CRM includes customer-facing public pages for accepting estimates, paying invoices, and signing contracts. You can send those links remotely or open them with the customer in person (handoff).
Email links
Best when the customer isn’t standing in front of you—quotes after a site visit, invoices after the job, or contracts for later signature.
- Open the estimate, invoice, or contract in the CRM.
- Choose Send (email). Confirm the recipient contact info.
- The customer opens the link on their device, reviews the document, and accepts, pays, or signs—no CRM login required.
- Status updates in the CRM when the action completes.
- Requires working email (SendGrid)—see /docs/guides/email-sms-setup. SMS send is coming later.
- Links are document-specific; don’t post them publicly on social media.
In-person handoff
Best at the kitchen table or truck: open the customer-facing page on your phone or tablet, hand the device to the customer, and let them accept, pay, or sign immediately.
Phone & tablet (Customer Mode)
In the iOS app and mobile CRM, handoff stays in the same app window (Customer Mode)—there is no second browser tab. You’ll see a short “hand to customer” step, then the customer page with a Back to CRM control for staff.
- Open the estimate, invoice, or contract in the mobile CRM or iOS app.
- Choose Pay / Approve / Sign with customer (wording varies by document).
- Confirm Hand to customer on the prep sheet, then pass the device to the customer.
- When they finish, use Back to CRM to return to the document detail.
Desktop web (new tab)
On desktop web CRM, the same actions open the customer page in a new browser tab so you can keep working in the CRM tab.
- Open the document in web CRM.
- Use the handoff / open with customer action so the customer-facing page loads in a new tab.
- Pass that tab (or the device) to the customer. Stay with them if they need help, but let them complete acceptance, payment, or signature themselves.
- Confirm the CRM status flipped to accepted / paid / signed before you leave.
When to use which
- Remote follow-up → email link.
- Closing on-site → handoff.
- Mixed → send a link after the visit if they want to think overnight; use handoff if they’re ready now.
These public flows are not a separate Customer Portal & Online Booking product (which is not available yet). Pay / accept / sign ship with your document modules. See /docs/faq and /docs/features/customer-portals.
