Getting started

    First workflow

Run your first Bounty CRM loop: company settings → contact → estimate or job → send → invoice.

This walkthrough gets you from a fresh account to a customer-facing document and an invoice. It’s the shortest path to seeing how Bounty CRM connects office and field work.

    Before you start

    • You’re signed in to the web CRM (see /docs/getting-started/account).
    • You have permission to edit company settings and create contacts, estimates, jobs, and invoices (owner/admin roles have this by default).

    End-to-end steps

    1. Company & app settings — Open Settings → Company for logo, name, and address. Open Settings → App Settings for timezone / date format / currency, signature, and invoice defaults. Documents and public links pull branding from Company. Details: /docs/settings/company and /docs/settings/app.
    2. Add a contact — Go to Contacts and create a customer with at least a name and email or phone. Attach a service address if you have one. See /docs/features/contacts.
    3. Create an estimate or a job — For quoting first: open Billing → Estimates, create an estimate for that contact, add line items (from the Price Book if you have it), and save. For work first: open Jobs, create a job on the schedule, assign a technician, and add notes or photos as needed. See /docs/features/estimates and /docs/features/jobs.
    4. Send to the customer — From the estimate, send by email so the customer gets a public accept link. For in-person work, you can also open the public link or handoff flow on a device in front of the customer. See /docs/guides/public-links-handoff.
    5. Invoice and get paid — After acceptance or completed work, convert the estimate to an invoice (or create an invoice from the job / billing hub). Send the invoice; with Payment Processing connected, customers can pay online. Track status in /docs/features/invoices.

    Suggested first-day checklist

    • Confirm company logo and address look right on a PDF preview or public link.
    • Invite at least one teammate from Team if you’ll dispatch work.
    • Connect Stripe under Settings → Integrations if you want card/ACH collection (Professional or Payment Processing add-on).
    • Skim /docs/guides/estimate-to-invoice for the quote → paid path in more detail.
    • Read /docs/guides/document-linking when you link jobs, estimates, invoices, and contracts on the same customer work.

Contracts (service agreements with e-sign) are available on Professional / Business or as a Starter add-on. They’re optional for this first workflow—add them once estimates and invoices feel familiar. See /docs/features/contracts.
